Prerecorded, sent Sunday: How to go into a career fair with confidence

  • Career fairs are an important part of networking and gathering critical information for your job search. In this webinar, you’ll learn how to prepare for a career fair, including research you should conduct, what to bring, and what to wear.

Monday: Elevator pitches – how to introduce yourself to people

  • For most people, talking to strangers about employment opportunities sounds terrifying. But the truth is, learning how to introduce yourself and talk to employers is one of the most important parts of your job search strategy. This webinar will teach you how to connect with people authentically, and what to say when you introduce yourself.

Tuesday: Getting started with resumes

  • In this webinar, you’ll learn how to create a draft master resume with the appropriate sections, how to format your resume, and what NOT to include in your resume. We’ll then discuss why you must tailor your master resume to specific job postings and how you can do this.

Wednesday: How to make your cover letter stand out

  • This webinar will take you through how to write a cover letter that effectively communicates who you are as a job candidate and captures the interest of hiring managers.

Thursday: Why a job search takes 6 months

  • A job search can last 3 to 6 months — and during this time, you’ll need to maintain and continue to grow your network. In this webinar, you’ll learn why a job search can take longer than you expect, and how to maintain relationships as you continue to grow your professional network.
