Customer & Product Marketing Specialist

At the Center for Graduate Career Success, we are on a mission to help graduate students leverage their education into meaningful and rewarding careers. We partner with over 70 universities in the United States and Canada and support thousands of graduate students each year through our digital training products.

We are growing and looking to add a Customer Marketing Specialist to our team. This role will be part of the Partnership Engagement team, reporting to the Learner Engagement Specialist while working closely with our Digital Marketing Strategist.

As a Customer Marketing Specialist, your main responsibility will be to focus on the success of our existing customers, cultivating meaningful engagement, and driving product adoption. You will help onboard and equip new customers with what they need for product adoption.

Your impact:

  • Drive product adoption and user engagement through marketing support
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Marketing and Partnership Engagement Team
  • Assist the Partnership team with driving customer engagement and retention
  • Use segmentation and user behavior to identify the right strategy, content, and timing for reaching platform users
  • Understand the higher education ecosystem and the needs and behaviors of graduate students
  • Support customer marketing automation and the maintenance of email automation, web pages, and brand assets

The day-to-day:

As a small start-up with 6 team members, we all do a little bit of the fun, rewarding, and mundane. There’s plenty of work to go around! You will:

  • Re-engage users by designing compelling weekly emails
  • Design marketing materials for partner offices, including email templates, social media content, etc, flyers and postcards
  • Support our Learner Engagement strategist to help our partner campuses launch and scale career support for their graduate students
  • Evaluate KPIs to identify partner institutions that need a little extra attention to engage their campus communities, and then collaborate with the Learner Engagement Strategies on ideas and best practices
  • Send data reports and updates to partner institutions on a monthly and quarterly basis. Highlight their wins, celebrate their success, or provide ideas for improvement
  • Manage virtual event registration: build registration pages, create email automation, and monitor registration numbers
  • Manage virtual event replays: embed videos, order closed captions, and write email replay emails
  • Work with team members to update curricula and platforms

About you:

  • Detailed-oriented with an ability to spot even the most minor of typos, font inconsistencies, spacing issues, etc
  • Strong writer and effective communicator
  • Collaborative and a strong team player, with the ability to manage up
  • Self-motivated and directed, balanced with an ability to ask questions and accept feedback
  • A strong ability to create priorities, meet deadlines, and execute projects in a timely manner
  • Driven to succeed and make a meaningful impact in an organization

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing or customer marketing-related role
  • Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for a master’s degree
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and executing multi-channel campaigns and assets
  • Successfully created and launched email marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement
  • Proficiency with email marketing and automation tools

Experience working in higher education preferred.

Pay and Compensation

This is a remote salaried position with the expectation that you will work 35 hrs per work during regular business hours.

  • Must be eligible to work in United States and be located in Colorado
  • Starting pay is between $60,000 to $70,000 US per year, depending on experience
  • QSEHRA health care benefit
